Why do the TG-4, TG-3, TG-2 and TG-1 have a removable lens ring?
The lens ring, which is attached to the front of the TG-4 / TG-3 / TG-2 / TG-1 camera, is removable so that the converter lens adapter CLA-T-1 (sold separately) or LED light guide LG-1 (sold separately) can be attached to the camera.
The converter lens adapter CLA-T01 is required when using a converter lens or lens filter.
Refer to the following question for more information:
I would like to shoot pictures using the LED light guide (LG-1). What should I do?
The lens ring has no effect on the waterproof and dustproof performance of the camera.
Waterproof and dustproof performance of the TG-4, TG-3, TG-2 and TG-1 is not affected even if the lens ring is detached from the camera.
