Tough TG-4 Support Topics
I would like to shoot pictures using the LED light guide (LG-1). What should I do?
You can avoid uneven LED illumination using the LED light guide (LG-1, sold separately). The LG-1 enables the camera to illuminate the subject evenly when shooting from close distance.
The following explains how to attach the LED light guide (LG-1) to the camera and how to activate the built-in LED.
Attaching the LED light guide (LG-1) to the camera
Before attaching the LED light guide (LG-1) to the TG-4/TG-3/TG-2/TG-1, remove the lens ring from the camera.
How to remove the lens ring:
How to attach the LED light guide (LG-1):
The following picture demonstrates what the camera looks like with the LED light guide (LG-1) attached:
Activating the built-in LED
For shooting pictures using the LED light guide (LG-1), the built-in LED of the camera is required for illumination.
Activate the built-in LED from the function menu.
Once activated, the built-in LED turns on when you take images.
Setting for TG-4, TG-3 and TG-2
Select (LED On) in flash mode, and press the [OK] button.
Setting for TG-1
Select (S-Macro LED) in Macro mode, and press the [OK] button.

How do I attach a converter or a lens filter to the TG-4 / TG-3 / TG-2 / TG-1 using the converter lens adapter CLA-T01?
Converter lens adapter CLA-T01:
The converter lens adapter CLA-T01 (sold separately) is required to attach theTeleconverter TCON-T01 or Fisheye converter FCON-T01 to the TG-4 / TG-3 / TG-2 / TG-1. You can also use the converter lens adapter CLA-T01 to attach a 40.5 mm lens filter that is 6 mm thick or less.
Before attaching the CLA-T01 to the TG-4 / TG-3 / TG-2 / TG-1, remove the lens ring from the camera.
How to attach or remove the lens ring:
How to attach or remove a conversion lens / filter:
If it is difficult to remove the converter adapter CLA-T01 from the camera, hold the adapter firmly and then rotate the camera as in the following image.
- When a filter that is 6 mm thick or more is attached, vignetting may occur in the corners of the images.
In this case, use a thin circular-type polarizing filter. - Filters cannot be attached directly to the TG-4 / TG-3 / TG-2 / TG-1 camera.
- The image quality when using a filter is not guaranteed.
- A filter and a Fisheye converter FCON-T01 cannot be used simultaneously.
The lens ring has no effect on the waterproof and dustproof performance of the camera. Waterproof and dustproof performance of the TG-4 / TG-3 / TG-2 / TG-1 is not affected even if the lens ring is detached from the camera.
What are the features of teleconverter lens TCON-T01?
TCON-T01 is a dedicated teleconverter lens for TG-4, TG-3, TG-2 and TG-1.
This lens enables you to shoot long-distance landscapes or subjects, while retaining the brightness of the lens. You also have the ability to emphasize a specific subject using the background blur enabled by the long focal length. With its waterproof function, you can shoot tele photo images underwater, without the need of moving closer to the subject. Fogging, which may occur due to temperature differences inside the lens, is prevented by filling the lens with nitrogen gas. You can also attach or detach the converter lens underwater.
The converter adapter CLA-T01 (sold separately) is required to attach the TCON-T01 to the TG-4, TG-3, TG-2 or TG-1. Refer to the following question for more information:
