Joe is an Olympus Visionary and award-winning photographer and educator and YES – that crazy PHOTO Joe Edelman on YouTube! He takes great pride in sharing his experience via his popular YouTube Channel – recognized by YouTube as one of the fastest rising channels of 2016. 

His primary subject: Beautiful people! 
His educational mission: To help photographers to develop a solid understanding of the HOWS and WHYS behind creating great photographs.

Olympus Visionary Joe Edelman will share how he creates his bold and beautiful fashion portraits, covering the key elements from clothing selection to hair, makeup, lighting and posing. He will demonstrate how to create these beauty and fashion portraits using simple lighting gear and easy-to-find props. Come discover just how simple portraiture can be. Photographers with any brand of camera are welcome. All we ask is that you have a desire to be creative, and we recommend bringing a way to take some notes.

MORNING CLASS: 10:30am to 12:00pm

He will demonstrate how to create these beauty and fashion portraits using simple lighting gear and easy-to-find props. Come discover just how simple portraiture can be. AFTERNOON EXPERIENTIAL: 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Building on the concepts and techniques that Joe will demonstrate in his morning class (see link at bottom of page), this four-hour afternoon workshop will give attendees the opportunity to collaborate with Joe on the concept and execution of their own bold fashion portraits. 

This is a totally hands on and collaborative learning experience where Joe will work both as your mentor and assistant to help you create your own unique fashion portrait using the same kinds of props and lighting that Joe works with to create the images that you see in his portfolio. 

Photographers with any brand of camera are welcome. Please have a desire to be creative, and bring a way to take some notes. You’ll also need your camera with short to medium length telephoto lenses. Don’t forget to bring memory cards and spare batteries.  Leave your lighting gear at home – you will be working with Joe’s lights. ALSO, we'll have Olympus cameras and lenses on hand for you to use if you are “Olympus Curious”. This is a great way to get the most from Joe’s teaching, using the same system Joe uses (Olympus OM-D). 

(Note: Use the time between the Morning Class and the Afternoon Experiential to grab a bite to eat! Lunch will NOT be provided.)
