From Workshop Partner Ledra Woodlee:

If you haven't experienced the coast of Maine in the fall, then you are missing out! The sounds, the colors, the smells and especially the tastes are an absolute feast for the senses.  And it makes for some great photography too!! Join us on a PHOTO-feast throughout the middle portion of the Maine Coast -- or 'Down East' as the locals might say.

We start this adventure in Bar Harbor, Maine - Home to beautiful Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island, and a quaint seaside town - it encompasses everything Maine has to offer from mountains to the sea.  Then the workshop ends up in Camden, commonly referred to as the "Jewel of the Maine Coast," and for good reason due to its amazing harbor views, shopping and dining.

You will get an exciting variety on this workshop. From picturesque little towns to working harbors and jagged coasts to serene colorful forests - we will shoot it all!

This workshop begins in the meeting space of the Blue Nose Inn on Wednesday, at 2pm on the 9th, and will end Sunday around 5pm on the 13th in Camden.

For This Workshop

Weather - This workshop could take you through many shooting environments, so be prepared for whatever the weather may bring. Dress in layers with comfortable shoes with good tread. Be sure to have rain gear for you and your camera and lots of warm clothing for early morning shoots.  Hats, gloves, scarves and a wind proof coat will be necessary on this trip.

Conditions - This workshop isn't one of our more difficult workshops, physically speaking.  With that said, there will be some walking on uneven and possibly wet surfaces and climbing around on coastal rocks. Much of the shooting will be done near the car or walking around flat bays.

Accessories - We do not 'require' that you purchase any specific equipment for this workshop.  With that said, you REALLY need a polarizer for EVERY lens.  If you do not wish to purchase a polarizer for each lens, then consider purchasing one for your largest lens opening and then purchasing step down ring adapters to fit it to your other lenses.  If you are not familiar with a polarizer and have questions, let us know.  We will be happy to help.

Also, you will need a tripod on this trip.  Please let us know if you have any questions about tripods.
