Savannah. The oldest city in the state of Georgia and one of the oldest in the country. You could spend months in historic Savannah and still not capture all of the of sights. Antebellum architecture. Live Oaks covered in Spanish moss. Manicured parks and cobblestone squares. Landmarks like Forsyth Park and the gorgeous Gothic-Revival Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist. We can’t promise you’ll see it all, but this photo tour will be an introduction that will whet your appetite and tempt you to extend your stay.

In the theme of the month of Halloween, we will take a ghost tour and also wander through the Bonaventure Cemetery - a picturesque resting place dating back to the 1800’s, and made famous by the book and movie “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”. We’ll also explore some of the cities many historic squares and churches as well as the Fountain at Forsyth Park. And we will certainly enjoy some low country cooking!

Our tour will begin on Friday at 1pm and end on Sunday at 3pm. This weekend workshop welcomes all skill levels and brands of camera. We will have some Olympus cameras and lenses available to try, if you wish. 

What we will learn: Each day we will cover the equipment and settings relevant to the scenes we will be photographing. This will include architectural, street, travel, and night photography as we tour historic Savannah. We will be exploring and photographing for approximately 6-8 hours per day, so bring your comfortable shoes! Each day will also include time to download and edit, critique, share or explore.

Olympus equipment will be available to loan so you can try out the latest and greatest gear!

This exclusive workshop is limited to ten attendees to ensure each individual has attention and appropriate instruction. Daily transportation from the hotel to and from our shooting locations, admission fees, and photography instruction are included in the workshop price. 

Hotel accommodations, food, transportation to and from the hotel are NOT included. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Fairfield Inn Downtown Savannah/Historic District.
