WORKSHOPS
LOCATION
Stanwood, WA

The Skagit and Samish Flats have been a birding hotspot for years, birds of prey spend the winter here, and the overall density of raptors, geese, ducks, swans, and owls make this a cool place to photograph birds. Red-tailed and Rough-legged Hawks, Bald Eagles, Snow Geese, Tundra and Trumpeter Swans, and Short-eared Owls are the target birds for this one-day Photography Workshop. We'll concentrate on birds-in-flight, single birds, and flocks of birds. We travel from Stanwood to Fir Island and the Skagit Flats up to the Samish Flats and back to Stanwood, stopping at the most active locations. Most of the shooting takes place near the car, so this is an easy walking workshop.
